Like all, my story begins at birth, however it took 21 days to meet my parents. I was adopted by a farmer and a teacher. How much more American can you get? I was fortunate enough to find my way into a loving family that gave me my roots.

I was raised on a farm in northwest Oklahoma. In my childhood, my favorite “toy” was a receipt book and cash register. I managed many businesses out of my closest over the years. My favorite business was a sandwich shop where I would actually fix a sandwich and some tea for my customers. My parents supplied the goods and were my only paying customers (I had a brother that never paid his tab). I had extremely high profits with my business model, which is yet to be equaled.

In between managing my various businesses, I would help with the actual work on the farm. There was always plenty of work to be done between taking care of the cattle or running a tractor during the summer. The responsibilities at a young age laid the foundation for my work ethic. Between watching my father work countless hours and having a mother as an educator, the importance of hard work and education was always understood.

Just as I did as a child, I wanted to help manage finances for small businesses. I thought the best platform to prepare for this endeavor would be to earn an accounting degree. After graduating from college with a degree in Accounting, I then pursued the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. I now not only manage my own successful business, but I also help others manage theirs.

Northwest Oklahoma has always been home to me. I love raising my children with my husband (a rancher) on our land near Freedom.
